Mike Augello: The Calm Before The Storm??? Draft Day 2012

It should be calm, when a team has no talent to make waves.

The smartest thing Toronto can do is draft and develop good young players. Not sure trading is the way to go for this team.

Anyone on here can recommend a good live feed (not the only-audio feed on nhl.com) for the draft coverage of today? (outside US/Canada). Thanks in advance!

I have been looking forward to today.. Heck this week. After yesterdays comments im not so sure anymore. Truth be told i actually dont feel well

Yeah, we usually get our hopes high then it ends up a huge disappointment on draft day, but at least it's something to watch.

Burke's list of preferences (as in 'best players in the draft combination of Leafs needs and player's talent) will probably look like this:

1. Yakupov
2. Galchenyuk
3. Murray
4. Forsberg
5. Faksa
6. Grigorenko
7. Dumba

It really is a sad day when all we have to look forward too is a high draft pick and the hopes that something... ANYTHING will be done to improve this club to a respectable level again..
